About PTSD

Post Traumatic Support & Development (PTSD) is a specialist mental health service dedicated to supporting individuals recovering from traumatic injuries. We are experts in the delivery of Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), a gold-standard treatment for PTSD and related conditions. Our clinicians are highly experienced in working with complex cases, including those involving litigation, and we are committed to ensuring therapy is accessible either within clients’ homes or through providing remote sessions online.

Meet the Founders

PTSD was established with a clear mission: to provide highly specialised, accessible trauma therapy to individuals impacted by psychological injuries—particularly in complex medicolegal settings.

Natalie and David, both seasoned clinicians, founded the service after identifying a gap in dedicated trauma care that combined clinical excellence with compassionate, person-centred delivery.

With professional backgrounds spanning trauma-informed CBT, mental health nursing, higher education, and experience in legal contexts, they bring a unique perspective to the field. Their work is grounded in the latest evidence and driven by a deep commitment to recovery, dignity, and client empowerment. By offering home-based and online therapy, they ensure care meets people where they are—emotionally, logistically, and psychologically.

Natalie Dean BA(Hons), PGDip, MSc RN(MH) Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist Registered Mental Health Nurse

With over 16 years of dedicated service in mental health, I am a qualified Senior Mental Health Nurse and an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. My career has spanned diverse environments—including prisons, community services, and academic settings—each shaping my nuanced understanding of trauma and psychological distress. This wide-ranging experience has deepened my passion for CBT and its transformative impact on those recovering from traumatic events.

At PTSD, I deliver trauma-focused CBT with a blend of clinical expertise and genuine warmth. I strive to build trusting relationships and create a safe space where individuals feel heard, understood, and empowered. My approach is deeply person-centred and rooted in compassion, ensuring that each client’s journey is guided with care, dignity, and respect. I also have extensive experience supporting clients involved in litigation and offer flexible therapy options, including home visits and secure online sessions.

David Blant MSc Assistant Professor in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

I am a highly specialised Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with over twenty-five years of mental health experience, supporting individuals through complex psychological challenges. My work is grounded in evidence-based approaches, with a deep belief in the transformative power of CBT to foster resilience and recovery.

I currently split my time between private practice, clinical supervision, and teaching CBT at postgraduate level within higher education. These varied roles keep me closely connected to both the academic and practical aspects of therapy, allowing me to support clinicians and clients alike with insight, structure, and compassion.

I hold a particular enthusiasm for trauma-focused work, which has become the central focus of my clinical practice. With specialist knowledge in trauma-related conditions, I am committed to delivering thoughtful, person-centred care that meets each client with warmth, respect, and a tailored pathway toward recovery.
